25 Kitchen tools & appliances that make your life easier

Today, I'm sharing some of my favorite kitchen gadgets and utensils that, like mine, make your life easier in the kitchen.

Also, I'll be explaining how each gadget makes my life in the kitchen easier!

To enjoy your time cooking, you'll need the correct kitchen gadgets, and some will even free up time for you to accomplish other things. I use these virtually every day, and I'm sure you will too!

Begin with things that will allow you to spend less time in the kitchen, babysitting your meals.

With a little planning, you may have your entire day planned out and only spend a few minutes in the kitchen preparing wonderful meals.

This list is ideal for newbies, home cooks, and anyone who, like me, enjoys using kitchen gadgets and appliances. You may also use this list to come up with present ideas for your foodie friend! So, let's get started.

1.      Apple Slicer

Apple slicers are essential equipment for everyone who enjoys snacking, dipping, baking, and arranging delicious apple appetisers. The Calphalon Easy Grip slicer boasts big, strong handles for easier slicing, as well as a raised structure to keep your knuckles from rapping against the cutting board.

2.      Vegetable Peeler

It's self-contained, adjustable, and has built-in storage for spare blades... What's not to like about that? Of course, the Rotato Express isn't just for potatoes; the robotic arm can readily accommodate any small to medium-sized fruit or vegetable.

3.      Prodyne Sugar Dispenser, One Size

With each button press, you'll get an exact 1/2 teaspoon of sugar. Without the trouble of measuring spoons, this automatic sugar dispenser would be a terrific way to keep track of sugar usage.

4.      Slow Cooker

One of my favourite kitchen devices is a slow cooker, which allows you to add all of the ingredients you want to cook and then leave it alone until it's done. They are inexpensive and can be used to make stews, as well as beans and legumes.

It uses very little energy, and it's a terrific way to cook cheaper pieces of meat that would otherwise take a long time to prepare. It's a wonderful meal-prep tool, and depending on the size you buy, you can double the recipes for larger crowds. It's highly adaptable and may be used for everything from breakfast to dessert.

5.      Air fryer

If you enjoy fried foods but want to reduce your calorie intake, I recommend using an air fryer. It's easy to use, and it gives your food a "fried" flavour even if you only use a small amount of oil, or none at all.

If I want to prepare corn tortillas, a traditional Panamanian breakfast, I add a little oil and wait about 6 minutes, and they turn out crunchy and delicious. Chicken tenders, french fries, and yuca sticks are among the other dishes I've prepared. It cooks meats that are juicy and ready in no time.

6.      Stand or Hand Mixers

This is a must-have in your kitchen if you adore baking. You may use them to swiftly knead or mix items, and you can even shred chicken with them. A stand mixer might be right for you if you have ample counter space and bake at least once a week. However, if you have a small kitchen or only bake sometimes, a hand mixer would suffice.

One of the most notable benefits of a set of mixing bowls (other than how much it helps while cooking) is how easy it is to store. Bowls usually nest inside each other and only take up as much space as the largest bowl.

7.      Food Prep Set Mixing Bowls

A nesting kitchenware set with everything a casual baker needs to whip up a delicious meal in no time. Two mixing bowls, a stainless steel colander, a stainless steel sieve, and a collection of measuring cups and spoons are included in this 9-piece set. To make the prep process go faster, the smaller mixing bowl has a spout and built-in measurements.

Sharp knives are essential in any kitchen because they make living easier. Accidents in the kitchen might be caused by a dull blade. As a result, make sure to utilise your knife sharpening on a regular basis.

This ground meat chopper is a must-have for anyone who like ground meat, especially ground turkey. It'll always help you prevent ground beef that's lumpy. It's great for browning meat.

10.   Mandolin

If you want to cut your vegetables quickly and evenly, use a mandolin with the same width all the time. Be cautious and put your safety first by wearing a glove. I use it to chop a variety of vegetables. It's quite simple to use.

11.   Pasta Pot

If you like spaghetti, this could be quite useful! The unusual colander lid snaps into place, and the oval form of the pot is ideal for lengthy pasta and fitting on a back burner when there are other pots or pans on the front.

12.   Portion Control Dressing Cap

Have you noticed that several salad dressing brands have removed the little hole on the top of their bottles that allowed you to choose how much dressing came out? It's quite aggravating! My kids love Kraft Ranch, but the cap opening is so huge that they end up pouring out four times as much as they need. (UPDATE: Kraft has a new pour control cap and some amazing new flavours!) But there is a solution for those other dressings that are missing this small but important element. This dressing cap with portion control correctly dispenses one sized serving of dressing at a time (2 tbsp). This is particularly useful if you're trying to keep track of your calorie intake.

13.   Tabletop Oil Mister

Less fat and more flavour! This is the most effective technique to keep the amount of oil on your salad, cookie sheets, and baking pans under control. It's similar to Pam, but without the chemicals, and you can flavour it anyway you like. You could even put your favourite salad dressing in there to stretch it out and keep track of your calorie intake.

14.   Herb Mill

Fresh herbs have never been so simple! This herb mill looks a lot like a pepper mill, but it's designed to crush fresh herbs like rosemary, parsley, dill, and sage. What a difference in flavour from dried herbs.

I'm not sure how this kitchen gadget works, but it appears to have a lot of positive feedback. In a couple of seconds, it peels, cores, and slices a pineapple!

16.   Frozen Fruit Treat Maker

Have you ever used your food processor to produce frozen banana ice cream that tastes and looks like soft serve ice cream?! This is something I started doing last summer, and it's fantastic! However, the procedure is time-consuming. Before I reach the appropriate consistency, I usually have to remove the cap a dozen times to mix. I had no idea a machine existed particularly for this! Simply place your frozen fruit in the blender to make a lot healthier and all-natural "ice cream."

19.   Pancake Pen

For a few months, I've been doing this with my daughter, but we've been using those cheap plastic ketchup squeeze bottles. They work fine, however the batter gets caught in the narrow orifice, so I have to make it thinner than I would like. This bottle was created with pancake art in mind! It's also fantastic for filling cupcake liners without making a mess. The tip is heat resistant, and the top and bottom screw off for easy cleaning.

20.   Citrus Sprayer

Is it possible to spray fresh lemon juice straight from a lemon? What?! Also, limes, grapefruit, oranges, and other citrus fruits! This goes well with salads, fish, shrimp, and other seafood. You can also use it to preserve your unused avocado halves from browning.

24.   Salad Spinner

When it comes to eating a crisp salad, a salad spinner is your best friend. You'll need to dry your greens to keep them from becoming mushy, and "spinning" them is by far the quickest way to do it.

This salad spinner from OXO Good Grips may be used by just pressing the top button. It's quite simple to use and even has a brake and locking mechanism for convenient storage.

This salad spinner is particularly appealing because the strainer basket can be used to drain pasta and the bowl can be used to serve. It's a fantastic multi-tool!

25.   Garlic press

We still have this Kuhn Rikon garlic press, although we don't use it as much as we used to. If you don't want to mess about with garlic and want a quick fix, this highly rated garlic press is the way to go. You might want to skip this item if you don't mind crushing and slicing your own garlic.

We've gone back and forth with garlic presses throughout the years, and now consider them "non-essential." In general, a garlic press is useful and makes crushing garlic easier. But cutting and pressing your own garlic with just a chef's knife isn't all that tough, and it's weirdly pleasant.
